Learning from Early CCS Projects
Colleagues from the Goal7 technical team travelled to Bergen for a deep‑dive visit to Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM) and the Northern Lights JV CO₂ receiving terminal at Øygarden, representing two facilities that are setting the pace for real‑world CCS deployment.
The openness of the TCM and Northern Lights teams to share lessons learned, operational insights, and delivery challenges reflects the collaborative spirit the CCS sector depends on. It’s a model for how we collectively build confidence and capability.
Real‑world delivery lessons are invaluable. Hearing directly from teams who have navigated permitting, construction, commissioning, and early operations helps de‑risk emerging projects and gives developers the confidence to move from planning to execution with clarity.
We left feeling inspired, informed, and even more committed to supporting clients as they navigate their own CCS journeys from appraisal and licensing through to execution and operation.
